Our experience of Ben Nevis

In January, We spent 3 days hiking up various Munros in Scotland, in harsh winter conditions. The first day consisted of us learning to use new equipment including crampons and ice axes, which we used to develop skills such as the ice axe arrest: a technique necessary to catch yourself on the snow if you slip or fall. Then for the other days we were able to apply our skills to actually do some hiking. We got lucky on the third day when there was great visibility and plenty of snow.

Some reviews of the Ben Nevis trip:

“I found this trip really exciting and fun as it was unlike anything I had done before, and I loved learning new skills with my friends. “

“Although walking through the snow was tough especially on the last day, it was worth it for the views.”

“Along our hike up Stob Ban there were some really pretty waterfalls and having our lunch near the top of the mountain made for even more great views”
